Well, we did it!

We made it to a finish line of sorts, or maybe just finally clawed our way up to a new level yesterday. I am very proud of creating this podcast, blog, and all of the social media along with it. I may have mentioned it in my introductory podcast but this was a journey that, for me at least, started two years ago. I took a chance and signed up for training as a Knowledge Broker. I wasn't sure how I was going to use what I was learning yet, no real sense of what to apply it to. I got lost in a year of researching and absorbing what everyone else was doing. I followed and researched how others like Vayner Media / Gary Vee did marketing and social media because that's pivotal right?

I mostly sat on that training for the first year, in self doubt, I mean who would want to hear what I have to say, who am I to train other people. I don't feel like I have it all figured out most days! And then there's putting yourself out there for others to judge. I am still working on overcoming my anxiety of speaking on camera. I am solidly in the introvert camp so this was waaaaay outside of my comfort zone.

Then the pandemic hit and I had a lot of time on my hands and a LOT of practice speaking to big groups on zoom. And coincidentally at work we started talking about what we needed to do, as a company, to pivot and utilize social media, technology, and digital education platforms. And then everything aligned... this is what I had been doing research for a year for, it all clicked!

Sometimes in the moment, when you're working through something, and you're not sure how it's going to apply... that's the resistance part... you know in your gut that it's important what you're doing but you're not sure yet how you're going to use it yet. All I can say is that you should keep going because all your hard work will pay off when its time!
